Students may be eligible for more than one discount; however, only the highest-value eligible discount will be applied to tuition fees.
Postgraduate discount
We’re rewarding the academic success and loyalty of our graduates with an automatic tuition fee discount on eligible postgraduate programmes.
Eligible Â鶹ֱ²¥ graduates can receive up to 33% off postgraduate tuition fees when progressing to selected Master’s and PhD programmes.
No application required. The discount is automatically applied based on your previous Â鶹ֱ²¥ qualification and academic achievement.
How the discount is awarded
The level of discount you receive depends on the qualification you completed at Â鶹ֱ²¥:
Undergraduate graduates

- The discount applies only to eligible Master’s and PhD programmes for September 2026 and January 2027 intakes only.
Family discount
Supporting families choosing to study at Â鶹ֱ²¥ together.
If two or more members of the same immediate family are studying concurrently at The University of Â鶹ֱ²¥, a 5% tuition fee discount will be applied to the second and subsequent student(s).
Eligibility:
- Available to immediate family members studying concurrently at Â鶹ֱ²¥.
- The discount applies to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Excludes the MB ChB Medicine course.
- Not available for courses validated by The University of Â鶹ֱ²¥ but delivered by another provider.
Alumni discount
We value our relationship with the Â鶹ֱ²¥ community and offer continued support to our graduates and their families.
Â鶹ֱ²¥ alumni, and the children and spouses of Â鶹ֱ²¥ alumni, are eligible for a 5% tuition fee discount when studying undergraduate or postgraduate courses at The University of Â鶹ֱ²¥.
Eligibility:
- The graduate must have been awarded a qualification by The University of Â鶹ֱ²¥.
- Available for undergraduate and postgraduate study.
- For MB ChB Medicine, the discount is valid for the first two years only.
British Armed Forces discount
Recognising the commitment and service of members of the British Armed Forces.
Serving Officers in the British Armed Forces are eligible for a 20% tuition fee discount on the following programme:
Eligibility:
- Available to serving Officers in the British Armed Forces only.
- Applies to the MA in Modern War Studies and Contemporary Military History programme.
